Section 3:  Body 

• The should generally be one or two paragraphs long.

• This section is your opportunity to sell yourself to the employer. You should explain why you are qualified for the position and why you are the person that the employer is looking for. In doing so, emphasize key qualifications that the employer has listed in the job description.

• This is a good place to show how your skills from past experiences are either directly relevant to the position or how they are transferable and will be useful in performing the job.

• Also use this section to demonstrate your knowledge about the organization and industry.

• This section should support the details of your résumé.

• Your last sentence in this section should reaffirm the strength of your candidacy.
